MISSIONS

The service holder is responsible for assisting the SURF and SPS packages Managers in the implementation of the

safety concept during the FEED and tendering phases of the Project. As such, the service holder will participate in the

review of safety-related documentation issued during FEED/Basic Engineering, in the preparation of safety-related

documentation for the tendering phase and Subsea Contracts, in the evaluation and ranking of the contractors

technical dossiers with regards to safety, in the implementation and follow-up, as requested, of safety studies and, as

requested too, in HAZID, HAZOP, SPOT and other Safety/Environment related reviews and as a general manner, may

take in charge particular subject related to Safety Design as requested by Package Manager.

The service holder shall liaise with discipline specialists and provide advices to in the implementation of safety in

design.

The service holder reports to the Subsea Packages Managers and shall highlight achieved progress and timely report

any area of concern encountered during the performance of his duties.

ACTIVITIES

1. To be informed of Company Specifications (GS’s/GR’s) related to Safety Design, international norms and standards and their application to the Project.

2. To participate in review of contractors engineering studies during the FEED phase for the subsea packages and to provide advices to discipline specialists with regards to safety design issues.

3. To participate in the preparation of safety-related documentation for the tendering phase.

4. To participate in review of safety related documentation from bidders, participate in clarification meetings, answer to clarification requests, participate in evaluation and ranking of proposals and participate in development of recommendation report.

5. To participate in HAZOP/SPOT and other Safety/Environment related reviews.

6. During the Execution Phase, to participate in the review of contractors detailed engineering studies and to participate in review of Contractor’s HSE management systems and control implementation.

7. To participate in monitoring and recording HSE activities, and to assist the Packages Engineer in presentations and preparation of reports.

8. To participate in collecting and reporting Contractor’s HSE statistics and analyse HSE performance versus objectives.

9. To timely report to the Packages Managers, highlighting progress and encountered areas of concern.

10. To ensure confidentiality of all the documentation produced (whatever its support)
