full time Marine Superintendent

Permanent Marine Superintendent required, to be based in Limassol, Cyprus.

The core activity of the Marine Department within this Company is to provide the safe and environmentally responsible transportation of hydrocarbons and chemicals around the world.
A second activity for the Marine Department to serve as a Centre of Marine Expertise for the Company ships and departments; providing support to the Company vessels, operations, ships vetting and Port State Control issues.

You will be responsible for reporting directly to the Marine Manager The Marine Superintendent provides leadership and marine support to a number of allocated vessels with the key duty of supporting the Ships Masters in delivering safe and efficient operation of their ships.

Key accountabilities
- Provide marine support to allocated ships with the aim of ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Act as mentor to the Masters on allocated ships.
- Ensure consistency in the application of Marine Operating Standards on allocated ships.
- Support the delivery of regional and global operations requirements through the provision of functional expertise.
- Preparation of concise and detailed ship visit reports.
- Preparation and execution Internal Audits and pre-vetting inspections on board of the ships.
- Participate as a member of Admibros Emergency Response Team as required.

Essential criteria & qualifications
- Deck Class 1 Certificate of Competence.
- Sea going experience as Master on either oil and or chemical
tankers.
- Functional marine expertise in one or a combination of Chemical or
Oil Tanker operations
- Proven track record of excellence in Leadership.
